Pelion Steam Train ‘’Moutzouris’’

In the year 1895 the steam train of Pelion, “Moutzouris”, made its inaugural journey. Designer and supervisor of the works was Evaristo De Chirico, father of the famous surrealist painter Giorgio de Chirico. The result is admired nowadays both for the perfection of the construction and the harmonization with the local environment. This railway route is one of the most famous in the world due to its outstanding beauty.
